HMS SULTAN Field Gun Crew Prepare For 2012 Campaign

On the 17th May 2012 HMS SULTAN's A and B Crews will carry out final preparations for this years competition by competing for the Burgess Cup on their home establishment.

The aim of this Field Gun Run is to raise awareness of the Field Gun Crew throughout HMS SULTAN and encourage support of HMS SULTAN’s Crews at the Royal Navy Field Gun Competition at HMS COLLINGWOOD on Sat 26th May 12.

Building on momentum gained over the last few years, which seen A Crew finish 3rd last year and B Crew win the plate 1 final ahead of Collingwood A, SULTAN aims to go one better this year by lifting the coveted Brickwoods trophy and by having 2 crews in the final.

Supported by sponsors, NEWTON EUROPE, and the RNRMC, the 50 + crew members will again contribute to the charity with a 100% sign up to payroll giving.

The drive for signing up to the charity was instigated by Lt Dave Elliott, (Last years No1 Trainer and this years FGO) and is the start of SULTAN drive to increase awareness of the charity and encourage more people to contribute.
