The MCTC Field Gun crew enter the 2012 season full of optimism following their recent success at the Birmingham Military Tattoo in December 2011, where they narrowly missed out on victory by less than a second to RAF Cosford. 

They were also awarded the Endeavour Cup during the Brickwoods competition in 2011.  The Endeavour Cup is awarded to the crew that overcomes the most adversity to put a Crew together.  The MCTC were forced to withdraw 10 of the 18 Crew members on the Wednesday prior to the competition however they were still able to compete in the event.

The MCTC Crew is made up of both Staff and Detainees meaning that Field Gun is one of the few occasions when the Staff and Detainees have the opportunity to work together as a team creating a unique bond with one another.
