RAF Cosford Field Gun Crew has been competing since 2005 in the anual Brickwoods Competition held at HMS Collingwood. Predominantly an RAF crew, Cosford made it into the finals in 2011 coming fourth overall. Other competitions throughout the year include the Junior Leaders event at HMS Collingwood, the Royal International Air Tattoo 2011, the RAF Cosford Museum Olympic Day and the West Midlands Military Tattoo.
