Royal Navy Mens v Civil Service
Published: 17/06/2011
The RN men's annual encounter with the Civil Service took place at Frilford Heath Golf Club on Mon 13 June 2011. With both teams suffering from non availability of players, the opposition superior strength in depth showed in their comfortable win. The RN situation was particularly bad in this instance with very few top players available. The team that did play put up a sterling fight and special mention goes to AB Tom Yates (HMS Westminster) who very commendably achieved 2 wins for 100% record. CPO Richard McKinstray (HMS Duncan) was unbeaten while the match represented a full debut for Lt Al Woodward (HMS Westminster) who performed well showing promise for the future.
