Lt Peter Reed RN:
Pete Reed is the top rower in the UK and has been a member of the GB Team since 2005. Unbeaten for 6 seasons in the team, a multi medallist at World level, the highlight of his career to date is a Gold Medal at the Beijing Olympics as part of the Coxless Four. Now in the Pairs boat with Andy Triggs Hodge, Pete won Silver at the 2010 World Championships in New Zealand and whilst they are both training hard to go one better in 2011, Pete’s main aim is the 2012 London Olympics and a second Gold Medal.
Pete Reed's Olympic Campaign
The 2004-2008 Olympiad saw Pete become Olympic Champion and double World Champion in the coxless fours, and incorporate an unbeaten run of 27 international races. In the nail-biting Olympic final in Beijing, the British crew made a dramatic push in the closing stages of the race to take the gold medal.
Pete will now continue training for the London Olympics in 2012 where he will be one of Britain's brightest medal hopes.
