So after making sure the car was running correctly at the activity day 4 days earlier it was straight back into it with a Sprint at Llandow in the south of Wales. This is a new one on me and after taking the advice of Walshy that the braking zone for the final right hander is to actually straight line and brake in the chicane I was as prepared as I could have been. In reality I had a bad day. I couldn’t get the power down properly and I just felt I had a complete lack of grip, might have something to do with me having a heavy right foot.

We had a total of 5 runs today with 2 practise and 3 timed. On the first of my timed runs I span, and then was never sure of the grip in the final corner after that. I did set my fastest time of the day on the final run, but this was 10 seconds off the leader and I finished 5th out of 7. I tried to find blame with my equipment so I settled that the geometry was out and would need checking soon….. it made me feel a little better doing that. But I suppose it sets a bench mark for next year for me to improve upon.
