RN Boxing Association (RNBA)

The RN Boxing Team enjoys a legacy that dates back to iron canons and sail driven warships. Demanding dedication, determination, courage, fighting spirit and a will to win, it advocated then, as it does today, those core values required of our Service men and women.

Novice boxing teams can be found in nearly all units and competition is rife with 5 interunit boxing championships throughout the year. For those boxers with potential, there is an opportunity to join a full time boxing team to further develop their skills with the aim of entering into national and international competitions. This sport is not only for men. Female boxing has a tremendous following within the Royal Navy, much to the envy of its Service counterparts, with our ladies competing in the National Female Championships and one of the team boxing for England and ranked number 5 in the world.
