The Royal Navy & Royal Marines Equestrian Association covers all Equestrian Sports within the Royal Navy.
We have our own Riding Centre in the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Riding Centre Bickleigh, at Bickleigh Barracks, with a link below to their website. They offer grassroots days.
The Dressage Show Jumping and Eventing Team compete throughout the year now and are also affiliated with teh British Riding Club in Area 12, allowing for a greater range of competitions to be entered. These competitions include pure dressage, pure show jumping, combined training, eventing. There are levels to suit most riders and the team is spilt into two sections: novice and senior. The novice team consists of individuals from grass roots to those who are able to jump up to 1m. The senior team consists of individuals who are able to jump 1.05m and above and there are opportunities for riders to represent the Royal Navy & Royal Marines at all levels. At the Services Team competition at the Royal Windsor Horse Show there is the added incentive of riding in front of HM The Queen. There is also an opportunity to qualify and ride at the London International Horse Show, Olympia.
The Hunting and Team Chase season towards the end of the year provides another avenue of equestrian sport and the team have been doing well over the previous years.
The Polo team who are stabled at Tidworth compete through the season and are bringing home some good results.
