Royal Navy & Royal Marines Martial Arts Association

The purpose of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Martial Arts Association (RNRMMAA) is to promote the practice of Martial Arts within the RN and RM, whilst giving Martial Artists within the Service the chance to represent the Association and Service in both civilian and Military competitions.  The Association also enables access to training seminars and tours.

The Association caters for ITF Taekwondo, Karate, Kendo and WTF Taekwondo.  All standards and styles of Martial Arts are welcome but at present will only compete in the above disciplines, with the exception of Judo which has its own association.  In competition the focus is on Karate, Taekwondo and Kendo rules, but other styles are given the opportunity and training to adapt to whichever set of rules suits them best.  There are also senior categories for Dan grades (black belts) and junior categories for Kyu/Kup grades (colour belts).
